I’m linking up with the awesome Elizabeth from Fun in Room 4B for her 4th edition of Fabulous Finds Friday. Woohoo! First of all, let me tell you… I love to shop. Period. But shopping for cute school supplies? Hello?? I.Die. My husband has learned to not-so-casually stay between me and the school supply aisles of all my favorite stores. Unfortunately, that little trick of his didn’t work so well today. =)
First up, cheap but bright little accessories from Walmart. At 88 cents each, I don’t even think these count toward the whole “don’t spend a lot of money on your classroom” rule. My husband asked what I was going to put in the box (um, stuff) and what the decorative tape was for (um, more stuff?). I had to have them because they fit right in with my classroom makeover. We’ll worry about the pesky little details of how to use them later.
After that I moved on to Marshall’s so second up, a purple glitter desk organizer-thingy. Yes, please. I love glitter (especially the not-real-glitter-so-it-won’t-stick-to-everything kind) and I was wanting to replace my desk organizer anyway because it doesn’t match my new theme. Sold! The hubs didn’t even try to put up a fight on this one. As a bonus, I must have totally broken his will to disagree at this point because he even volunteered to make me a few extra little dividers for the larger end sections. What a guy!
Finally, another Marshall’s find: contact paper. Which, to be completely honest, was actually what we had gone out in search of today. I keep seeing those decorated filing cabinets on Pinterest. I’m not really a read directions kind of girl so I didn’t save one, but I’m sure you could easily find them with my friend Google too. PS, do you know how much ugly contact paper is floating around out there? If you find cute stuff, buy it in bulk.
I know I said finally up there, so you’re probably thinking this post is finished. Nope. We have a new teacher-friend on our third grade team next year. She’s decorating her room with a rock star theme in bright pink, blue, and zebra. She has a guitar and lighting truss and everything (don’t worry, I’m totally taking pictures to share when she’s finished) so I had to grab her a couple items too. Shhh, don’t tell. I’m pretty sure she’s too busy frantically trying to get her classroom together lovingly arranging her classroom to read this, but if you did by accident… just act surprised, k? =)
Okay, enough of my stuff. Go link up with Elizabeth so I can see all your scores too.

I adore that blue contact paper 🙂

I found the decorative tape at Walmart today, too! And I was so excited! My sister is looking for cute contact paper. Was yours from Walmart? We DID NOT see that there today….
Great finds! Love the cute decorative containers – they would match well with my classroom! Thanks for sharing!

The contact paper was from Marshall's so it's overstock from somewhere. It's labeled the Macbeth Collection (http://themacbethcollection.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=macbeth&Product_Code=shelf-liner). I'm not sure who normally carries that.
This is super cute! Your newest follower! Stephanie (Primary Possibilities)
I LOVE your contact paper! It's sooo true! Cute prints are hard to find. Soooo nice of you to buy her some cute gifts. I know when I first came to my school, a teacher on my team welcomed me with some things she thought I might need for the year. It was so sweet, and I DEFINITELY needed many of the things she gave me! 🙂 She's going to LOVE your finds!

I know I'm reading this WAAAAY late, but I'm in search of cute contact paper, and I LOVE yours! I haven't been lucky enough to run across anything other than the typical, not-so-cute shelf liner. I'll keep looking. Love your blog! 🙂
