Last night was parent/teacher conferences which means we have fall break Thursday and Friday. Yay! Because it was such a short week, I decided I didn’t want to push in a full week’s worth of spelling practice. I don’t do typical basal spelling so trying to accomplish our usual word work in just three days wasn’t practical. With Halloween around the corner, I decided to just have a little fun with it this week so I used spooky themed words that students can also use in their writing centers next week.
We are *really* trying to conserve copies in my building so I made them top/bottom instead of separate pages. You can grab your free copy of my Spooky Spelling in my store. If you can use it, please take just a second to leave feedback on it in my store. I appreciate it!
Don’t forget to enter my birthday giveaway and show some love to the fabulous teachers who donated goodies. It ends Friday night!

VocabularySpellingCity has a Halloween word list that you can use in fun online games, handwriting sheets, or other printables. The games work great on the interactive whiteboard, too.

I hope you enjoyed your long weekend! We don't get any time off around conferences, so I have to admit I'm a little envious!
