Oh friends, I am so excited to share this fun idea with you today. We spend a lot of time talking about student engagement and motivation at our school. Of course we want our students to be intrinsically motivated, but let’s be honest… that doesn’t always happen. Besides, isn’t it kind of nice to get “stuff” as an adult too?
Enter…. BragTags from imagestuff.com! They are so cute and the students LOVE them. Seriously. They’re dog tags (of various shapes) that students can collect on key chains or necklaces. I thought about waiting to launch them next school year, but I just couldn’t wait. I decided they tied in nicely with the New Year/resolutions so I went for it mid-year.
Make the honor roll? Get a BragTag. Get recognized as student of the week? Get a BragTag. Celebrate the 100th day of school? Get a BragTag. Have perfect attendance? Get a BragTag. You get the point. =) They’re extra motivation for students who need it and a nice reward for those students who are already excelling.
Just look how cute our “starter tag” is. The process (or the price for that matter) couldn’t be any better. You can choose from a variety of designs they already have in stock, personalize an existing tag (like mine), or you can have them make a totally new design for you. I had my proof in less than 24 hours and the shipping was super fast too (so you don’t have to wait until next year to start!).
They come in fun shapes (stars, paws, pencils, etc.) as well as traditional dog tag shapes. Look at our 100th day tag. Boys and girls will love that rockin‘ guitar. I’m kind of jealous. 😉 I’m still working on my complete list of annual events that I’ll want tags for, but we’re off to a great start.
I have a few more motivating ideas planned to share with you in the coming weeks. Until then, what kind of tags are you already envisioning for your students? You can check out their Facebook page for more ideas.

I love it! I also have seen these
http://www.fitnessfinders.net/Mileage-Club-s/3.htm it says fitness finders, but they have all kinds of cute little plastic things to hang on a keychain type deal. Do you have your kiddos hang them somewhere in the classroom, or do they put them on their back packs! They really look like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing!

These are SO CUTE!! I am thinking these would be great for our reading challenge we do in school! A cute book or something for them to remember reading their 100 books 🙂 Thanks again!
