New Year, New Blog? and Currently

Hello, 2013! I’m so exited to see what you bring. There’s just something about a new year that makes me feel all optimistic. It was about this time last year that I started this blog. I remember wondering if anyone would want to read what I wrote and how it felt to be talking to myself at first. I’m so glad that’s changed! =)

If you’re also thinking about starting a new blog, or giving your existing blog a makeover, I spent the last week of 2012 working on new premade blog designs. I love doing custom work, but there are so many cute graphics out there that I can picture as blog designs so I save them in folders to work on when I need a new creative outlet. Then I sell them at a discount so it’s a win-win situation.  

They’re still totally custom because they only sell one time and I do all the installation for you. I can make changes to them too if there’s something different you had in mind (like changing fonts and colors or swapping out some clip art pieces). You can see all of my available designs on my design site, but these are some of my favorites that don’t have a home yet.

Finally, it’s time for another Currently! 

As you can see, I’m kind of all over the place this month. We stayed in for NYE to eat a delicious dinner, cuddle our pups, drink some bubbly, and watch the ball drop. No complaints about that at all. We did take a *tiny* break from the office, but that puppy is getting finished tomorrow.

My word for this year is growth. This has been such a life-changing year. There‘s the literal growth of my sweet baby nephew who I love to pieces. It‘s been so fun watching my brother and his fabulous wife become parents. My husband and I have grown closer together in our second year of marriage. Although it hasn’t always been easy (especially with his work load as a med student), we’ve learned we make a great team. As an educator, I’ve grown leaps and bounds and so much of that is due to our blogging community. I truly appreciate you all! Perhaps the hardest, I’ve also grown personally as I’ve learned to balance all of my responsibilities and let some things go. I’m not so great at that ‘saying no’ part, but I’m working on it.

    Love your cute new blog designs! I'm with you on the staying home for new years! We went out to dinner, but now we are at home relaxing by the fire!! Good luck getting your office finished!! I'm sure it's looking amazing!!
