Am I really sitting here printing and assembling March centers and activities? I’m excited that spring is around the corner, but also kind of wish life would slow down a little. I honestly feel like I’m meeting myself coming and going. Part of that is because I’ve been working on something super fun for you {my fabulous followers!} this weekend… unfortunately my lips are sealed on that one until Sunday. =) While you’re waiting though, it’s time for another Currently.
I’m all over the place this month. The news is depressing, and yet I keep watching. Why?? But it’s Friday and we had a delicious dinner out with my in-laws tonight so that was nice. It’s been a long week.
I really feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything I need to do at school. I could use some help. For real. 🙂 And the sad thing is, I’m pretty efficient! My dear husband is coming out to school one day next week {after state tests are over, yuck!} to help out a little. I feel so drained by 3:00 that I just want to come home and be with my family. Of course, I tote the school bag home with papers to grade and usually have centers to print and assemble too. You know how that is. I’m preaching to the choir. But there are some things you just have to be at school to do so he’s offered to come out and clean the hamster cage while I get some work done. Such a good guy. =)
Like: Carolina. I almost put this as love. Can I have two loves? 😉 North Carolina is my home away from home. We absolutely adore the Outer Banks. If I could click my little ruby slippers, they’d take me to the beach for sure. It seems like I count the days as soon as we leave.
Love: Children. In spite of the huge rant above, I continue to do my job because I really do love the kiddos. I think you have to in these unfortunate times in education. I honestly want to help each one of them leave my room better than when they came into it. We have so much growth to achieve in third grade!
Hate: Clocks. Hate, hate, hate, loathe entirely. {Did you catch that reference?} In fact, I threw a regular old fit when my alarm went off this morning. My bed is just too warm and snuggly this time of the year.
Now go link up with Farley…. but remember to swing back by here Sunday for a fun little surprise!

Spring break will be here soon enough! can't wait to swing back on Sunday!

Jealous! Ours isn't until April 1st.
Wow, I agree with you about everything (except I've never been to the Carolinas)! More time, not enough of it, and no more clocks on the weekends at least!

I totally hear you with they clocks thing. There's never enough time to get everything done. Hope you are able to get some free time to relax this weekend.

Oh Christi!! I LOVE OBX!! We go in August and it is the absolute best vacation. We stay in Duck and it's so fun. Even as a Cali girl, I still think the beaches in The Outer Banks are the best! Hope your Spring Break comes fast!

Second Grade Sparkle
We love making a day trip to Duck, but usually stay in Nags Head. I know I'm partial since we were married on the OBX beaches, but they really are so pretty. 🙂
I loved North Carolina when we went to visit. Really a beautiful state! I am feeling the pull on all sides and my blogging has taken a back seat. I can't even imagine what it must be like with your blog designing as well!! Stay sane and take some time to snuggle up this weekend:)
Aloha,

My Second Sense
Jealous! We keep thinking of making the jump to the Raleigh area.
Your blog came at a perfect time…just finished up a day of SLO's and couldn't be more overwhelmed, stressed…and the list could go on and on! Everything you said goes ditto for me! Some of our best family vacations were spent in Avon, Hattaras, and Ocracoke! Drive back to Ohio was the pits though!

It feels better to know you aren't alone, doesn't it? We are also in Ohio. The drive home always seems so much longer than the drive there.
Yesterday was a teacher workday/conferences for me, it still took everything I had to get out of bed. It just felt so darn good! I hope you were able to sleep in a bit today!

Teaching In Oz
I have visited North Carolina and loved it. I understand the feeling of wanting help at school. The workload is overwhelming at times.
I love NC because it's where I live!! haha So I love your post about loving the Outer Banks. The beach is my fave place ever! 🙂 There's nothing like the coast…that's for sure.
Mrs. Thigpen's Kindergarten
I hate clocks, too!! I had to put my alarm in my bathroom so that it would force me to get out of bed to shut it off. I'm with you on needing time to work in the classroom. That was my PLAN today, but instead the huge piles of laundry commanded that I stay home and attend to them. Boo for reality. 🙁

Thanks, Jessica! I'm afraid I'm going to have an identity crisis if I keep messing with my design. I think I'll keep this one a while. 🙂
Love your blog design! I was looking at your Design by Christi blog and you have done some fab work!! I've lived in NC most of my life and I love it! I adore the OBX too! It is one of my favorite places!

Adventures of a Third Grade Teacher
Your post was funny! I don't like my alarm either. Friday, I didn't like it so much that I turned it off completely and woke up a half hour before I was suppose to be at a meeting. I should probably say that I live 20 minutes away from work. oops lol
Hope you have a great week! 🙂
