App of the Week: Math Ninja

It’s time for my next app of the week! This one has a lite {free} version and a paid full version. It’s… Math Ninja! While there are ninjas involved, they only fight robots in order to protect a treasure from an evil tomato. The ninja shoots pellets at the robots to keep them from reaching his tree house. After a round of shooting, students are given rapid math problems in order to earn money toward upgrades.

What I like about this app:

• It has three levels (easy, medium, difficult).
• You can turn on/off addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts for targeted practice with only the needed skills. I love this for differentiation!
• When students miss a math problem, the game gives the correct answer and makes them type it in for extra practice.
• Students earn money for solving math problems and spend it in a store. 
• The game gradually gets faster.
