Oh, friends. I was sitting here drowning in my sorrows with my stuffy head when I saw this month’s Currently pop up. I love reading everyone’s entries! It was a fun little pick-me-up. Well, that and shopping. Which if I’m completely honest I *might* have been doing on Etsy at the moment. Currently is much safer on my wallet. So here it is…
So I’ve been on this fun little health ride this year. I was diagnosed with allergies just over a year ago and started two weekly allergy shots. I hate shots. But man, I take them like a champ now. You’d be so proud of me. Things got worse, but then they got better. I could SMELL again people! It was a miracle. And then I got really sick last fall. I never quite got all the way better. Finally, in January or so they diagnosed me with asthma on top of all that allergy goodness. Which means every stinking cold gets me all out of whack. I’ve been hacking my head off for a week now. It’s disgusting. Fortunately, it’s spring break so I have another week to recover. Except I spent the last two days before break home sick so you know what kind of a mess I’m going to find in my classroom when I go back. I’m making a trip out tomorrow just to put things in order. A teacher going into school on spring break… let the media get ahold of that! =)
Anyway… advice. My best advice to you is to find a support group. Find creative, smart, funny, caring people to bounce ideas off of. Find people who will proofread your products and give you honest feedback. BUT don’t find them by running around saying “Follow me! Come visit my blog!!” on their pages. That’s rude. {It had to be said} I am so thankful for the bloggy friendships that I’ve made this year. They make me excited to be a teacher again and that’s a beautiful thing.

Great advice! I'm just starting this blogging adventure and it has been quite the ride so far! Hope you feel better soon! I'll call the NYT and let them know you are going in tomorrow! 😉

Now I know how you emailed me during the day last week. I feel your pain girlfriend. My spring break ends today. I was sick all last week. Thought I had pneumonia, but just a bad case of bronchitis… At least I didn't have to use any sick days. LOL. Get some rest and relax. We are allowed a little time off.
I love your advice! You have been a tremendous help in my blogging adventure! Thank you so much! I put up the scrolling blog log that you helped me with (of course your blog is in my lineup!) Thanks again for all of your help!
I also go for allergy shots and I have been for 3 years now. They help, but can be a pain (literally!). I also had sinus surgery which helped me a ton! Hope you feel better soon!
