Summer is a great time to relax and recharge your teacher batteries, but let’s face it… not many of us unplug completely. Most of us spend time thinking about all the awesome things we can do to make the next school year even better than the one we just wrapped up.
Last summer, I moved classrooms so I spent lots of time giving everything a makeover. You can see the recap of set up tricks, organization tips, and content areas of our room by clicking here. I also had several DIY projects, like the popular crate seats, curtains, and table skirts.
This summer, I was able to stay put so no major renovations for me– woohoo! I am still finding ways to mix it up though. For example, I am lusting over this border.
Do you know how much time it took to add double borders to my bulletin boards last summer? Now you can fake it. So cute!
I also want to work on my classroom birthday gifts. The school year can be so hectic, so I want to get a jump on birthdays by having all the gifts finished before the school year even starts. I bought these cute bracelets earlier this year and am thinking I’ll stick them in with a birthday pencil, sticker/badge, and a little piece of candy. If I get super crafty I might even do those cute pencil toppers that are floating around Pinterest.
So where did all this stuff come from? MpM School Supplies! Could you use some cute new stuff to spruce up your classroom too? You’re in luck because it’s giveaway time! I have TWO $25 gift cards for you. You have the chance to win one here on my blog and one on my Facebook page this week. Be sure to check back in when the giveaway is over because I just might have something for EVERYONE too. 😉 Good luck!
