Do you ever wonder what a day in someone’s shoes would be like? There’s a linky party for that, of course! Mine actually starts around 3:00am. 😉
So… Stay up until 3:00am working on a new product. Sleep until 10:00am the next day to make up for it.
10:00: Wake up, feed the fish, let the pups out, eat breakfast at the computer while linking up with Farley’s Currently. Spend the next two hours returning emails, sending invoices, and catching up on my social media networks (mostly for business, and a little for fun). Today was a light day and I only woke up to 32 emails. Haha! Good thing I have such a helpful assistant.

Too bad she can’t type… |
12:00: Decide that it’s time to feel like a human and take a shower. Sit on the front porch in my new swing and organize my thoughts for the day now that I’m fully awake.

Hubby’s anniversary present to me, a place to relax! |
1:00: Install two blogs, create art proposals for the next two weeks’ worth of blog designs, squeeze in time to work on more premade blog designs that are banging around in my head when I try to go to sleep. I also use this time to do some laundry and empty the dish washer.

3:00: Work furiously on new TPT products. {Spend time on Pinterest} Work furiously some more. I do this all from my super cool bloggy bicycle. For real. Blogger Butt isn’t going to get me this summer. I learned from my mistake as a couch blogger last year.

old picture, hate that background chair. Ugh! |
5:00: Realize hubby is on his way home. Crap! Better start dinner. This doesn’t happen every day because my husband loves to cook and I DO NOT! Play with dogs while dinner is in oven and catch up on reality TV.

Pizza Casserole! |
6:00: Enjoy dinner and quality time with hubby by taking the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood.
7:30: Work on blog posts for the coming week, make a tutorial video, social network some more, return another batch of emails, squeeze in a little more time on new products while husband studies

Need more time to finish this! |
9:00: More quality time with husband before he goes to bed.
10:00-??? Take a bubble bath {I earned it!} Burn the midnight oil because this is when I am most creative.
Repeat.
As you can see, my weekday summer schedule is all about my blog/store. =) I know that looks like a lot, but I have to say when you’re doing something you love it doesn’t really feel like work. Plus, I’m able to be at home and rock out to music or watch TV while I work. I do take days off to go shopping, or spend them with my husband when his schedule allows. Tomorrow I’m going out to lunch and getting a pedicure. Woohoo! But, for new teacher-bloggers who are considering making a business out of it, I wanted to realistically show the time I put into my brand.
I’d love to see what your day looks like! You can link up with us over at Second Grade Nest!

I love the chair. Do you remember where you got it?
It's from the Outer Banks, but they ship free. 🙂 It's a Nag's Head Hammock. We have their double hammock and love it too!
I have almost the same routine. I stay up usually to 3 or 4 and sleep til 10:00
I knew I wasn't the only one. 😉
I'm a new blogger and I have been following an very similar schedule! (But mine includes: make mistake, research how to fix mistake, fix mistake, repeat) It must mean I'm on the right track!

Awe, thanks! They offer so much love. 🙂
I want that hammock chair so badly! Love it!
You are too funny! Way to kick blogger butt this summer! You are killing it in the blog design and TPT world! You never stop!
The Polished Teacher
I've always liked to burn the candle at both ends. 🙂
A) Your pup is adorable and I'll bet that she could type if you just teacher her.
B) I love the print of the ottoman she's on.
C) MUST have the recipe for pizza casserole. (Pizza is Cayden's main food group.)
D) You are one busy lady!
I'll shoot you the recipe. It's my favorite kind– EASY! haha.
Your swing is so cool! And your bloggy bike! What a great idea. Happy summer!

I love your blogging cycle! I think I need one of those!
LOVE the blogging cycle. That is perfect! 🙂
I just bought the very same chair in the same color and I LOVE IT!!! It hasn't been hung yet but hopefully I can get my fiancé to hang it when he gets home from work! Is it as comfy as it looks! I'm looking forward to sitting in that chair A LOT this summer while hopefully finishing TBTS and blogging as much as possible! I can't wait to see your new blog designs!
It is super comfortable! In fact, I blame it for just now coming inside to catch up on comments. =)
Love your blogging bike! My day is pretty similar except I have two kids who require some attention in between computer time!! 😀
Thanks for sharing your day. Isn't summer glorious?!?!

I'm so glad you wrote this—- it really points out how much work goes into being a successful blogger and TPTer. I don't think a lot of new bloggers understand the hours we put into this.
How was the pizza casserole?
