Somebody pinch me because it’s July and I have been out of school for an entire month already. What?! Today is a bit of this and that, so hang with me. =)
First up, I updated my Facebook Fan Freebie so be sure to grab it if you haven’t yet. It’s a one-page academic calendar. I don’t know about you, but I am all about the organization. I like to keep a yearly calendar under my planbook on my desk for reference. I put a few motivational quotes on there for ya.
It’s also Currently time! Confession: this is from Sunday, but I had already posted about my gift card giveaway so I had to hang on to it until today. =)
I spent most of the day Sunday on the computer. I had several blogs that I needed to install or finish designing, plus a few products to wrap up. I put my man Bon Jovi on and happily worked away while my husband worked outside on a stand for this:
Ahhh, can you feel my productivity going down already? We love Nag’s Head Hammocks in the Outer Banks and bought a double hammock while on vacation several years ago. The matching swing is our 2 year anniversary gift. Love it!
I know it’s summer, but my brain is all “do this, do that!” and “work, work, work!” because, well, it’s summer. Being in the classroom all day takes so much out of me that I don’t have the energy to come home and work on all of my products so I take full advantage of summer break. It feels so good to have an outlet like TpT and Design by Christi that also helps financially. Even though I’m “working” it doesn’t really feel like work. I completely agree with Farley about getting out too. Blogger butt happens quicker than you might think, trust me. I learned that last summer. 😉
Finally, advice. To me, one of the best things about Blogging is the networking I’m doing with other teachers. Read blogs, leave comments, join networking groups, make friends. If it’s just you plugging away at your computer, you’re going to tire out. Be a real person. Share some of your life. It feels genuine. And don’t sell me something in ALL of your posts. I want to see our products, but I want to see other stuff too.
I think that’s it. The hammock swing is calling my name.

Awesome swing! I definitely want to get one of those hammock 'chairs'. A friends parents of mine had one and it was the most comfortable thing ever!! Oh and can I tell you that realizing its already July which means it's about 1 month into summer… that freaked me out! It's going by way too fast!!

Your swing looks wonderful. I would spend so much time in it if I had it. Glad to know I am not the only one thinking "gotta get all of this done before school starts again!" Have a great day.

Yes, it is July! I can't believe it either! I am kind of crying inside! =) I make all these plans of stuff I am going to do and then school is here and I didn't do anything! Ha, ha! Good luck getting everything finished!

I love your swing! I could see myself sitting for hours in one of those! So relaxing!
Enjoy that swing! I think it's a perfect place to relax…but it should still count as working because you can think up all kinds of new blog designs…so technically it's productive! 😉
What a neat swing. I don't think I would ever leave it! So glad that we found your blog through this linky!
I love Bon Jovi – my friends and I were lucky enough to see him when we got tickets to The View – just as cute in person!
Thanks for the freebie!
I went to work out tonight to work off my blogger butt! 🙂

Love the calendar freebie. Thank you so much. Also, wish I had your swing.
Love this post…..how inspiring! I have a lot of dark wood in my house…..although I love it, it does make the space quite dark! thank you 🙂 free youtube views
That swing looks awesome! I would love to curl up with a good book in that thing! 🙂 And your advice is "spot on." You definitely have to network and just be yourself. It's a LOT more fun that way!
Make sure to stop by and enter my giveaway!

Fantastic swing. You need to take time and use it more. You are working so hard, but as a follower, I appreciate reading all about your finds and great ideas.
