It’s time friends… our room is ready! I love, love, love setting our classroom up each year in anticipation of a new class. When I moved rooms last year, I posted several projects in my Classroom Makeover series so you can still check those out for instructions on many of my projects. Our room layout is pretty similar this year, but I’ve updated all of my bulletin boards with the new color scheme and added a few new things too. Time for a tour!

I made this project and most others with my Silhouette Cameo |
Whole Class:
I’m exhausted just looking at all that! Many of my DIY projects were made using my Silhouette Cameo. I get a lot of questions about it. It’s super easy to use and cuts clip art and fonts already on your computer without any cartridges. I used it for all of my bulletin board letters/signs, my picture frame, and the vinyl letters on my rocking chair. Easy!

Wow! your room looks wonderful- bright and inviting! Best of luck this year!

Your classroom looks amazing! I just checked out your pop-stars post and I think I may have to try out some kind of Bingo type incentive… I did Homework-opoly last year and had the same problem as you- it took up wayyy too much time!
I've also said this before but I think I might have to invest in a Cameo. Your stuff looks great!

hey – lookin' good! do you mind sharing where you got your "hello….my name is…" cards for your lunch chart? are they just the stickers or is that something you picked up somewhere?
thanks a bunch!
They're from Target's dollar spot. 🙂
Your room looks fabulous Christi!! 🙂 I love it all!! 🙂

I am using those Hello my name is labels as my name cards this year. I love them! For my name cards I put the labels on white cardstock cut to size, then on a larger piece of cardstock that matches the the color on the label. I am waiting for my class list so I can type up their names on clear labels. I will stick the labels on there, and then laminate the entire card, and attach magnets. These go on my file cabinet for kids to move from absent to present each AM.
I am in search for those containers you used for the crayons. I am going to head out to a local store today to see if I can find some. I need to organize my crayons that way this year, a lot easier! Beautiful room!
Thanks so much! I had a feeling lots of teachers would snag those little Hello tags. 🙂
I love your room. It looks so big. I am jealous. You motivate me so much with all your creativity. Thanks for sharing and tell your student teacher she is one lucky lady to be with you. Smiles. Have a great school year.
Awe, thanks so much!

I love it! Your room looks great! I love the hanging spheres (polka dotted)-where did you find them? I hope you have a great year! We officially start back Monday (teachers) and the students come back the following Monday. Looking forward to a great year!
I ordered the polka dot lanterns online, but after that several people posted that they picked some up at the Dollar Store.
Christi…your room is so bright and cheerful!! I love the "Dare to Dream it, Work to Achieve it" saying! Thanks for showing off your hard work!

You're color choice is so warm and inviting! Thank you for the tour.
Your classroom looks great I like the bargain you found on the book boxes. My classroom theme is purple and red so I definitely will be ordering some of those purple ones. I enjoyed your presentation with Laura Candler it stood out among the participants.
Thank you! I'm eager for the recording to finish so that I can watch it myself. 🙂
Wow, amazing! I really like how your room is setup and the frame for the kids to take a picture in is very cute!:)

Great classroom! Love the writing center!
Y'all are so nice. Thank you for all the support and love! =)
Your classroom is absolutely beautiful Christi – I've just gone pin crazy! I love your 'Sharpening Our Skills' display; I think I'm going to do a variation on it as a Hall of Fame and the clothes pegs (and string tip!) are such a great idea. Could you tell me if/where your 'Writing Center' sign is available? I love it!
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful space 😀

A Cupcake for the Teacher
How fun it is to study in a classroom as organized as yours! Organizing the books and all your students' files make the room easy on the eyes and also make locating what you need easier. And to keep everything organized, try doing a little organizing regularly. Good job and good luck!

I wish I was back in third grade… I love your classroom. I am hoping to have a classroom such as yours one day. I love how everything is organized and how each section of the room flows to promote learning for your students Keep the ideas coming.
