Last week was so busy at school that I’m just now realizing I hadn’t blogged all week. I hate it when that happens because it was a great week, too!
We always celebrate Johnny Appleseed’s birthday early because his actual birthday falls in the middle of our amazing animal unit. So, we spent the week working on nonfiction skills while learning all about Johnny and apples too. The highlight of the week was rotating through learning centers in each third grade room where we plotted Johnny’s path on a map, cut and pasted an apple tree life cycle, painted with apple stamps, and finally {their favorite} made caramel apples and drank apple cider.
I used a combination of my Johnny Appleseed unit and a few freebies from awesome teacher bloggers that I found on Pinterest too. Since Johnny Appleseed’s birthday is still coming up for most of you, here are my links:
I also went pin-crazy on my Fall Pinterest board with more ideas. I like to mix it up a bit each year so I’m always pinning cute things along the way. =)
Finally, before you go off to enjoy the rest of your Sunday we have a $20 TpT gift certificate up for grabs as part of our Teaching Tribune collaborative blog. You’ll need to follow our Pinterest board and can earn bonus entries for following our individual boards too. Hurry because it ends this weekend!

I did a renewal and the instructor Kaaren made it fun and kept us as fast paced as we could handle. She reviewed the differences in the changes to BLS from 2010 a few times to make it easy to remember. The testing supplies (dummies, AED and mouth guards) were clean and well organized. massage Mooloolaba
