I’ve teamed up with some of my friends from The Teaching Tribune to play a little game of Hide and Seek. Along the way, you’ll find lots of freebies. If you make it all the way through, you’ll have the chance to win one of two $50 TPT gift certificates as well as a custom door hanger. We will select one U.S. winner and one international winner for the gift certificates, but the door hanger will be shipped to the U.S. only.
As you play Hide and Go Seek, you will hop to 20 blogs to collect freebies. Hidden in each freebie is a school supply with a price tag. You will need to collect all 20 supplies and add up the price tags. You’ll need the total for our Rafflecopter at the end of our hop on the The Teaching Tribune.
To make things easy, we have a recording sheet for you. Download it here:
Let’s get started! I’m stop #11 so you’re right in the middle of our game. =)
My freebie for you is one of the mini lessons out of my Six Trait writing pack. I love using picture books in writing workshop because my students can easily spring off of them into their own journals. In this lesson, I use Shiver Me Letters by June Sobel.
This book fits in nicely with a unit of ABC books or a series of lessons on pattern books too. After reading the story together, students begin to brainstorm their own ABC books. The structure of the pattern book is a great place to start in writing workshop and ease back into building writing stamina after summer break. Just click on the picture to grab your freebie.
Now that you’ve grabbed my freebie, head off to find the next one at Merinda’s blog, Pirate Girl’s Education Invasion.
If you prefer to start at the very beginning, you can do that too. 🙂
No matter what order you find us in, be sure to end up on The Teaching Tribune for the giveaway. Be careful with the math. I’m sure we’re all rusty after summer vacation. 😉
Have a great year, teacher friends!

Having fun on the hop 🙂
